Reviews and Ratings
The room had a newer kitchen but was horrible, tiny, and seemed outdated, maybe from the '70s. The service was extremely helpful and courteous, making our stay enjoyable. While the location wasn't as close to the harbor as expected, it was excellent for relaxing, and breakfast was a highlight. The dining experience was ho-hum, nothing exciting. Overall, a decent stay with some areas needing improvement.
Upon arriving at the hotel, I was pleased to find that the rooms have a convenient kitchen, which was a nice touch for those who like to prepare their meals. However, it was evident that the rooms were in need of some renovations as they appeared tired. The service was top-notch, offering efficient amenities and a welcoming atmosphere, even though the overall accommodations could benefit from some updating. The location, while not directly by the water or the main street, was still pretty good, close to State Street and the beach, making it convenient for exploring. The facilities were decent overall, providing necessary services, but there were no specific standout features. Ultimately, a mixed experience with notable highlights and areas that could use improvement.
The hotel is a true gem in the heart of California, centrally located near shops and dining spots, making it convenient to explore the area. The rooms, although a bit old, are cozy and boast beautiful views of either the pool or the meticulously maintained courtyard gardens. The service is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, enhancing the overall stay. However, dining options could be more varied, with basic continental fare provided for breakfast.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms could use some updating in terms of decor but were surprisingly quiet, which was a real pleasure especially when traveling with a baby. The staff, particularly Frank, was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to assist every guest.
The hotel has older but clean rooms with a patio style door out to the poolside full of beautiful tropical plants. The property is well-maintained, tidy, and spacious, with a sliding door opening across a hallway to the laundry room. The service is very honest, extremely accommodating, and kind, surprising us with a bottle of champagne at check-in. The location is close to the sea and downtown Santa Barbara, quiet, peaceful, and within walking distance of the beach and Stearns Wharf. The dining options are limited, with no hot food, but cereals, pastries, fresh fruit, and juice available. The facilities are essential but good overall.
